V HOTEL TOURISM CO. (“Company” or “Data Controller”) is fully committed to ensuring the highest level of protection and confidentiality for your personal data. In this regard, and pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“PDPL”), we hereby provide detailed information regarding the processing of personal data belonging to our customers, suppliers, and visitors-particularly those visiting our commercial enterprise, Via Icona.

1. Methods of Collecting Personal Data and Purposes of Processing

When customers request to purchase goods or services, depending on the channel through which the request is submitted, your identification/passport details, contact information, bank account and IBAN numbers, credit card information, and transaction data regarding the nature, performance date, payment method, and price of the requested goods or services may be collected either electronically (via software systems or e-mail) or physically (mail-order forms, printed documents, etc.).

Such data are processed to:

  • Execute and fulfill the relevant legal and commercial transactions,
  • Maintain accounting records and collection processes,
  • Analyze and improve our products and services,
  • Assess customer satisfaction, and
  • Fulfill our obligations under applicable laws and regulations.

Technical and navigational data—such as browser type, time spent on our website, and pages visited—are automatically collected through cookies and stored in anonymized form.

2. Transfer of Personal Data: Recipients and Purposes

Personal data collected by our Company may be transferred, in line with the principles of proportionality and purpose limitation set out in the PDPL, to:

  • Competent public authorities and institutions,
  • Professional organizations, courts, mediators, and arbitration bodies,
    The Company’s legal advisors, attorneys, certified public accountants, customs consultants, and other professional advisors.

3. Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

Depending on the nature and purpose of processing, your personal data may be processed on the following legal bases under Article 5 of the PDPL:

  • Explicitly stipulated in applicable laws,
  • Necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract,
  • Required for the Company to fulfill its legal obligations,
  • Necessary for the legitimate interests of the Company, provided such processing does not harm fundamental rights and freedoms,
  • Or, where applicable, based on your explicit consent.

4. Rights of Data Subjects Under Article 11 of the PDPL

Data subjects may submit their requests to the Company in accordance with the “Communiqué on Principles and Procedures of Application to the Data Controller.” Depending on the nature of the request, the Company will conclude the application free of charge within thirty (30) days. However, if the requested action incurs an additional cost, fees may be charged in accordance with the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.

Data subjects have the right to:

  • Learn whether their personal data have been processed,
  • Request information regarding such processing,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used for their intended purpose,
  • Learn the domestic or international third parties to whom data have been transferred,
  • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and request notification of such corrections to third parties,
  • Request deletion or destruction of personal data where the reasons requiring processing no longer exist, and request notification of such actions to third parties,
  • Object to results arising solely from automated data processing that may be unfavorable,
  • Request compensation for damages incurred due to unlawful processing of personal data.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise your rights, you may complete the “PDPL Application Form” provided.

You may then submit the signed form together with documents verifying your identity:

Applications must be submitted in Turkish and include:

  1. Full name and signature (if submitted in writing),
  2. Turkish ID number for citizens; nationality and passport/ID number for foreigners,
  3. Residential or workplace address for correspondence,
  4. E-mail address, phone number, and fax number (if provided),
  5. The subject of the request,

and all relevant information and supporting documents.
